It’s Election Year Folks!
We have a lot of important issues facing Alaskans this election year. Incumbent U.S. Senator Mark Begich is looking to hold on to his seat for his second turn. A feat that only Alaska’s first 3 Senators have done, but has since been dominated by Republicans. The Republican primary also has three strong contenders for the Republican nominee to then square off with Begich in the November 4 election.

Ballot Measure 1 & 2, covering both Oil tax cuts and the legalization of marijuana in Alaska have also proved to be a popular issue given the number of signs and activists out and about throughout the city of Anchorage as of late.

Here at the Chamber we are hosting a six-part Debate Series during our “Make It Monday” forums that start next month, beginning July 14 all the way up till the November 4 election. You’ll want to RSVP early as they will fill up and sell out quickly!
